Estepe was founded in 1984 in Heesch, Netherlands and has developed as a partner company for truck manufacturers and transport companies. Starting out as a supplier of plastic accessories and chassis components, Estepe has developed into a comprehensive system supplier. They are now a qualified partner of the truck body industry and European truck manufacturers.
Since its foundation, it has been operating in a wide range of different technical disciplines and have been behind a number of key developments in truck manufacturing and design. In 1985, they introduced the first Top Sleeper on the market providing an additional sleeping option on a Day Cab.
In 1987, they introduced the world’s first short coupling system. This enabled the motor vehicle and the central axle trailer to be closely coupled. Estepe was also one of the first companies to introduce 2D drawing software into its design and development process, switching to 3D design in the early noughties.
In 2000, Estepe pioneered its first Truck Transport Trailer (TTT/ETT). Today, the 4th generation of Truck Transport Trailers are manufactured under the name Estepe Transport Trailers. Estepe has since entered into the construction and lighter commercial vehicle sectors. Estepe is now leading the way in providing modifications for electric vehicles and other alternative fuels.
