On 7th November 2017 we had the pleasure of welcoming Alexander Britz (Head of Product Promotion) and Alexander Kletke (Category Management CVP), from Schaeffler’s head office in Langen (Germany). We are delighted that such key suppliers could spare the time to share mutual best practices with our technical team, and ultimately gain a better understanding of our technology and processes. The benefit of offering a practical insight into our production methodology was immediately welcomed by our visitors, who relished the hands-on experience of working alongside our team of skilled technicians.
The day was a huge success, achieving the ultimate aim of assisting with the removal and replacement process of fitting a new RIU (repair insert unit). Our team showcased the ease of fitment when using correct equipment and procedures.We also took this great opportunity to gain further knowledge of upcoming products and tools that could help to advance our technical capabilities for the future. As the leading engineering partner to the industry, and indeed as our own trusted supplier of choice, this visit was truly mutually beneficial and we look forward to a long-term partnership with the expert team at Schaeffler.
