What is the FAG SmartSET
Although wheel bearing units are more common in the commercial vehicle segment, most axles of commercial vehicles and trailers are fitted with two single standard tapered roller bearings that are arranged opposite to one another. After the Repair Insert Unit (RIU), the FAG SmartSET is an additional pre-assembled and simultaneously prepositioned wheel bearing unit that is specially developed for the aftermarket. It is delivered ex works as a pair of wheel bearings, inboard and outboard unit, with the appropriate grease and the appropriate quantity of grease. The repair solution is supplemented by a specific pressing tool and a nonverbal instruction guide, which is included in every package.
